Accepting Both Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals

A ferrous metal is any metal that contains iron, such as steel, cast iron, and wrought iron. They are commonly used in major construction projects. All ferrous metals are recyclable, and we will accept them at Ashley Steel & Salvage.

We also accept nonferrous metals, which do not have iron in them. Because nonferrous metals don't rust, they tend to be used for things that are exposed to the elements. Rain gutters, metal pipes, electrical wiring, and some roofing materials are just a few of the common nonferrous items we recycle.

What We Can and Cannot Accept for Recycling
